The annual Subsea Tieback Conference & Exhibition (SSTB) has become the premier event for one of the fastest growing field development segments. Over 1,000 people and 75 exhibitors are expected at this year¿s conference to be held at the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center.
As demand drives exploration into deeper water, operators, field engineers and project managers depend on new technology for meeting new challenges. At the SSTB conference, they meet to discuss engineering and technical developments that will bring them success in demanding new conditions.
This year's theme "Delivering Success - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" expands on last year¿s momentum assessing where this subsea industry is at present and where it is headed for the future. The conference advisory board has once again solicited a number of key presentations by industry leaders. As in the past, only by participating in this conference will you be able to receive the benefits of the conference, as Proceedings will not be published.
This year's host, BP, will play a key role in attracting relevant presentations from both major and independent operators in deepwater. BP is involved in subsea tieback development around the world and should prove to be an excellent host.
